2,800 m³ of underwater concrete at Oosterweel

For more than 20 hours, 2,800 m3 of underwater concrete were poured into the retention pond along the E34 motorway at a speed of 20 concrete mixers per hour (3 m below the water level and 1 m thickness). A retention pond is a large basin built along the road to absorb excess rainwater runoff from the motorway. Now that the concrete has been poured, the pond can be used as a buffer basin during the works.
